Canmore Photowalk - Sunday June 26

The Photowalk was very successful, with all levels of photographers from novice to expert taking part. Some examples of our photogaphs are shown below, indicating the wide variety of subjects and perspectives seen by our members.

What is a Photowalk?

Its a bit more than walking around and taking photos, but not much more.Either alone or as a group the plan is to capture as many interesting images of Canmore within a 24 hour period.

The idea is to collaborate on Sunday and create as many quality images of what it means to you to be in Canmore and its environs.

There is a list of locations at the bottom of this page and a link to a Google map but don't limit yourself, be creative.

Go beyond the obvious, think: colour, shapes, landscape, macro, portrait, light, shadow.

What do you need?

A camera, that's it!

Whether its a cellphone camera, ipad, compact camera or a fancy dSLR the choice is yours.

Because this is potentially a long day you might want to limit yourself to just two or three lenses maybe even challenge yourself to a single focal length.

If you are using a digital camera, then carry lots of memory cards with you and spare camera batteries.
