This is a list of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) about the Canmore Camera Club and this website.

What purpose does the camera club serve?
The camera club helps connect photographers and expands the knowledge and joy of photography. Club meetings, field trips, and other activities keep members active and help them share their passion for photography.

Why is there a $20.00 membership fee for an annual membership?
Although the Canmore Camera Club is a non-profit organization expenses such as room rentals and photography presentations must be paid for. All official club memberships may be paid for at our monthly meetings.

What level of photographers are associated with the club?

Virtually all levels from beginner to expert are represented in the club although the majority is made up of SLR users. Our members also shoot both digital and film formats. Anyone with an interest in photography is very welcome to join the club.

When and where are the meetings held?
Meetings start in the Fall and end in the Spring (usually September through May). They will be held on the third Thursday of each month at 7 P.M. in the Ha Ling Conference Room on the second floor of the Canmore Recreation Centre.

What is the difference between a paying member of the club and a registered user of this website?

registered user of the website has more privileges and access uploading their images to the online photo galleries than an unregitered member of the public. There is no cost associated for this service, and we encourage registration if you want to use our photo galleries.  A  paying member is entitled to discounts on select events of the Canmore Camera Club, and will also receive discounts on some products and services at Sunny Raven, Richard Berry Photography and Mountain Laddie Photography. Everyone is invited to upload their photos to the online gallery, and it is appreciated when those who find the online gallery useful purchase a current membership with the Canmore Camera Club.

How do I create an online account to be able to upload to the online photo gallery?
At the the top of the page there is an icon: Click on that icon and type the required information in the text field along with a valid email address. Make sure your email address is correct, you will receive an email shortly to validate your registration. Your registration won't complete if you have not clicked on the link contained within the confirmation email. There is no cost associated with creating your online account to grant permission to upload your photos. You will also automatically be subscribed to the newsletter when your online account is created.

How do I subscribe to the newsletter?

You may create an online account and your email will be added to the newsletter. There is also a subscribe/unsubscribe form at the bottom of the page. Newsletters are sent out whenever news about club activities arises.

Why can I not login?

Did you register and click the link that was sent to you via email?. The link will activate your account. For help with login problems contact the Canmore Camera Club webmaster
