Our Next Meeting - Thursday, February 16, 2012 7-9 pm
The next meeting of the Camore Camera Club will be Thursday February 16 from 7-9 pm in the Ha Ling Conference Room of the Canmore Recreation Centre. The agenda for this meeting is as follows: Silent Slide Show and Show and Tell: The topic for the meeting is "Architecture". This show is designed to show members how to maximize the potential of shooting buildings, and details from the best possible angles, how to deal with perspective and challenging light conditions, and using different approaches to capture different architectural styles. You need JavaScript enabled to view it , so that he can compile the images into one single show. Walker should receive images by noon on Tuesday, February 14 so that he has time to do this. Images submitted should be jpeg file format, with maximum size of 1024 x 768 px. My Learning Curve: Joseph Potts will explain his learning using a tilt-and-shift lens. These lenses are very useful for eliminating perspective in architectural shots, and generating more depth of focus in landscape shots. Joseph has agreed to bring his lens to the meeting to demonstrate,an if any members wich to try it this is the ideal opportunity! CCC Calendar: The 2012 calendars have now been printed and will be for sale at this meeting. The price has been reduced from $20 to $15 each so now is the time to buy one! Canmore Camera Club business: At the end of the meeting we will discuss possible future field trips and plans for a February photographic exhibition, and get feedback on how the meeting went. We will also discuss last-minute plans for our photographic exhibition at the Library as part of the February Exposure celebrations of photography. |
